Okay, so you guys know Nana, right? From the iconic K-pop group After School, and now she’s a super successful actress. Well, she’s at the center of a story that is just absolutely wild. Late last year, in November 2025, she and her mother experienced a terrifying home invasion. A man in his 30s, armed with a weapon, used a ladder to break into their home. Just when you think the story is over and the bad guy is behind bars, it takes a turn for the unbelievable. That same robber has now filed a lawsuit against Nana from jail, accusing her of… wait for it… attempted murder and aggravated assault. He’s even changing his story now, saying he wasn’t armed, despite all the evidence. This is a classic case of what we in Korea call ‘적반하장’ (jeok-ban-ha-jang), which basically means the offender has the audacity to blame the victim. The nerve on this guy is just off the charts.
Korea’s Reaction and What the Law Says
As you can imagine, people are furious on Nana’s behalf. Her agency, Sublime, released a powerful statement calling the robber’s lawsuit an ‘inhumane act’ and accusing him of exploiting her fame to cause secondary harm.
