To celebrate the new year, Choi Hwa-jung invited a special guest over: a fortune teller and feng shui expert named Park Sung-jun. In Korea, it’s not super uncommon for people to consult with experts like him for advice on life, career, or even how to arrange their homes for better luck! Choi wanted some tips on what to place in her entryway or what to avoid in her living room to improve the home’s energy.
Park started his tour at the front door and immediately had some thoughts. While he said the overall layout of the apartment was good for attracting wealth—especially the living room sofa’s position facing the Han River—he wasn’t a fan of some of the decor choices.
The Fortune Teller’s Blunt Feedback
Here’s where it gets juicy! The expert pointed to a piece of art in her entryway, noting that its “fragmented” or “broken” style wasn’t ideal for the home’s first impression. He bluntly said, “Compared to the great location, the entrance is strange… it has a feeling of being split, disjointed, and broken.” Ouch!
He also gave advice on other parts of the house, like suggesting she use fewer scent diffusers and replace artificial flowers with real ones to bring more “life energy” into the space. Choi Hwa-jung took it all in stride with a laugh, but you could tell she was genuinely surprised by his direct comments, which is what the headlines are all about!
