Celeb Scandal Explodes: Park Na-rae & SHINee’s Key vs. the Mystery ‘Injection Auntie’

What’s Going On with Park Na-rae and SHINee’s Key?

Okay, so you’ve probably seen them on shows like ‘I Live Alone’ or ‘Amazing Saturday.’ Park Na-rae is one of Korea’s top comedians, and Key from SHINee is, well, an iconic K-Pop idol. Recently, they’ve both been caught up in a huge scandal involving a woman nicknamed ‘Jusai Imo’ (주사이모), which literally translates to ‘Injection Auntie.’ The controversy started when it was alleged that Park Na-rae was receiving IV drips and other treatments from this woman at her home, not in a clinic, which is a big no-no under Korean medical law unless it’s an emergency.

The situation blew up even more when SHINee’s Key was also linked to the ‘Jusai Imo.’ Social media posts from the woman surfaced showing Key’s famous poodles, Comme Des and Garçons, in a home that looked exactly like his. This led to fans demanding an explanation.

The Stars Apologize and Step Back

Facing the backlash, both Park Na-rae and Key have stepped down from all their TV shows. It’s a pretty big deal, especially for a show like ‘I Live Alone,’ where they are both major cast members. Through his agency, SM Entertainment, Key explained that he was introduced to the woman through a hospital in Gangnam and genuinely believed she was a licensed doctor. He admitted to receiving treatments at his home when he was too busy to visit the hospital and said he was deeply reflecting on his ‘ignorance.’ Park Na-rae’s side also stated they believed she was a licensed physician providing a legitimate house call service.

The ‘Injection Auntie’ Claps Back

Here’s where it gets wild. After the celebrities’ explanations, the ‘Jusai Imo’ (let’s call her Ms. A) is speaking out, and she is NOT happy. She feels like she’s being thrown under the bus. According to reports, she posted a furious message on her personal messenger profile, saying something like, “I was told not to get close to those who wear makeup… I believed they were my dear siblings… now I’m the only one who looks like a fool.” This is widely seen as a direct shot at Key and others who claimed they didn’t know her true status.

So… Is She a Doctor or Not?

That’s the million-dollar question! Ms. A insists she is a real doctor. She claims she was a professor at a medical university in Inner Mongolia from 2014 to 2019. However, a civic group of doctors in Korea investigated this and claimed the university she named doesn’t even exist, calling it a ‘ghost medical school.’ This whole situation has become a huge legal and ethical mess. For now, lawyers say that under Korean law, the person receiving treatment from an unlicensed practitioner isn’t typically punished unless they actively knew and encouraged the illegal act. Still, this scandal is a huge blow to the stars’ reputations and has everyone in Korea talking.
