Korean Singer Kim Jang-hoon Apologizes for Leaking Private Wedding Video

Oops! A Wedding Video Gone Viral

You guys, a bit of drama just went down involving a legendary Korean rock singer, Kim Jang-hoon. He was a guest at the wedding of Mir, who you might know from the boy group MBLAQ. The wedding, held on December 21st, was a private affair because the bride is not a celebrity, and they wanted to keep her identity protected.

Kim Jang-hoon, who even sang a celebratory song for the couple, posted a video of the happy bride and groom walking down the aisle on his social media. The only problem was, he didn’t realize it was a private event, and the video clearly showed the bride’s face to all his followers. As you can imagine, people were not happy about it.

The Backlash Was Swift

Almost immediately, comments started flooding in, criticizing him for being so thoughtless. Netizens pointed out that even the groom’s own family, including his famous actress sister Go Eun-a, had been careful not to post any pictures revealing the bride’s face. The video spread like wildfire online before Kim Jang-hoon realized what was happening. His manager had to call and tell him he was all over the news for the wrong reasons.

A Deep and Sincere Apology

To his credit, Kim Jang-hoon acted fast once he knew about the mistake. He immediately deleted the post and shared a long, formal apology. He explained that he had no idea the wedding was private and that he was incredibly embarrassed and ashamed of his actions.

In his apology, he said, “I deserve to be criticized and blamed… I have been trying to be so careful since my comeback, walking on eggshells to avoid controversy, but I still acted so thoughtlessly and immaturely.” He expressed deep regret, especially since he is very close with the groom’s family, and promised to be much more careful in the future.

Apology

Netizens Are Divided

This isn’t the first time something like this has happened in Korea. Another famous singer made a similar mistake earlier this year at a different celebrity wedding. Because of that, some people are still pretty upset, saying celebrities should know better by now. However, many others are defending Kim Jang-hoon. They’re pointing out that he apologized immediately and didn’t make any excuses for his mistake. It seems like a genuine, albeit embarrassing, mistake. Hopefully, everyone involved can move past it soon!
