The complaint filed with the police specifically mentions a comment made by webtoon artist and castmate Kian84. During the 2019 MBC Entertainment Awards, Kian84 mentioned that “Jun Hyun-moo filmed while getting an IV drip” in an acceptance speech. This old comment is now being used as potential evidence to investigate the circumstances of Hyun-moo’s treatment. It’s crazy how a throwaway line from years ago can suddenly become part of a police investigation, right?
Jun Hyun-moo’s Side of the Story
Jun Hyun-moo’s agency, SM C&C, has responded to the accusations. They stated that he has never used illegal services. They explained that back in 2016, Hyun-moo was treated by a doctor at a hospital for a very bad throat. Because he was short on time for his next filming schedule, the doctor decided it was okay for him to finish the IV drip in the car on the way there. To back this up, his agency even released copies of his medical records from that time to prove it was a legitimate medical treatment prescribed by a doctor.
This whole situation started with Park Na-rae, but it’s spreading and affecting her close friends and co-stars. It shows how sensitive these issues are in Korea, especially when it involves celebrities and questions of skirting the law. We’ll have to wait and see what the police find out!
